More about Jamie

Jamie previously worked for a well-known retail furniture company where he designed, prototyped and progressed high-volume and high-value projects through to manufacturing on behalf of fast-moving large-scale multinationals; including Superdry, WH Smiths and TK Maxx.

At Duku, Jamie manages projects which encompass complex assemblies; integrating electronic and app functionality, as well as establishing and managing external supply chains in the UK and Far East. His extensive industry experience in manufacturing, and project management skills ensure projects run to schedule and remain on budget, while his focus on production viability and cost ensures the final design transitions smoothly into production. Jamie has extensive hands-on prototyping skills having previously run Plymouth University’s design workshop helping to ensure Duku’s in-house facilities are fully utilised to fast-track development work.

His previous projects have covered industries including baby and childcare, class 1 medical, plumbing and heating, fitness equipment, mobility and healthcare.

Outside of work, Jamie is often found chasing after his dog Teddy, watching rugby, or honing his pub quiz knowledge.
