PLEASE READ OUR TERMS AND CONDITIONS BEFORE USING THIS SITE

Duku EV is a trading name of Albright Product Design Ltd. Duku EV sells chargers, software and accessories for electric vehicles on our website, http://www.duku-ev.com.

2. HOW TO PLACE AN ORDER

Our website can be used to place an order by selecting the product you wish to buy and adding it to your cart. An item can be removed from your cart at any time if no longer required.

 

When you place an order you are agreeing to buy goods from Duku EV. Once an order has been placed, we will send you an e-mail confirmation and further important information relating to your order.

In the unlikely event that the goods are unavailable, or if a pricing mistake has been made, we will advise you of this and the contract will be voided.

 

We take care to ensure that accurate information is provided on our website, however, images of products on this website are for illustrative purposes only and your product may vary slightly from images shown on the website. Products supplied will not include any pictured accessories unless stated in the specification of the product.

 

We have made every effort to accurately display the details, colours and finishes of products that appear on this website. All information provided is approximate and is provided in good faith, however, we cannot guarantee that your web browsers display of any details, colours and finishes will accurately reflect the details, colours and finishes of the product.

 

The buyer assumes responsibility for the goods being suitable for the purpose for which they are being purchased.

 

By placing an order with us, you agree to and accept these terms, as well as our privacy policy.

 

This contract is covered by English law.

3. PAYMENT

You will be required to pay for the goods in full at the time of ordering, unless the product is stated as being available for pre-order (see pre-orders).

Our website is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.  

All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by our company adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

4. PRE-ORDERS

On occasion, Duku EV will make certain products available for pre-order and customers will have an option to place a pre-order deposit to secure a product when it becomes available.

Where a pre-order deposit is required, this will be stated on the product order page. An invoice for the remaining product balance will be provided prior to your order being shipped and will contain further information regarding shipping and fulfilment options.

You are able to request cancellation and a refund of a pre-order deposit anytime until a final balance payment is made and your order is ready for shipping by contacting info@duku-ev.com, or following the instructions on your pre-order receipt.

Pre-orders will be fulfilled once the item arrives in stock and the remaining balance is paid.

5. PRICING

All prices quoted on our website are in GBP and include Value Added Tax unless stated otherwise. For orders shipped to the UK, prices include Value Added Tax at the current rate.

6. PROMOTIONAL RATES

Any promotional prices stated on the website will only apply during the period stated.

7. ORDER CONFIRMATION AND COMPLETION

Once and order has been confirmed, changes may not be possible or may incur additional charges or delays.

Once your order is complete and ready for shipping you will be notified you of the dispatch date.

8. ORDERS OUTSIDE OF THE UK

We do not currently sell our products to customers outside the UK.

9. DELIVERY & CARRIAGE CHARGES

Carriage charges will be shown prior to you placing your order.

Goods will be dispatched from our warehouse within the lead time stated on our order confirmation, which can change without notice. You will be advised of any delay to the stated delivery date. 

If your order is a bulk order, it may arrive in more than one delivery.

We will only deliver our products to an address in the UK. For enquiries for international shipping, please contact us on info@duku-ev.com.

Goods will be delivered to the premises you specify on your order. You must be at home to accept delivery of your order. You will be advised of your delivery time by our shipping partners. Duku EV do not accept any responsibility for loss or damage if the delivery company is instructed to leave the goods unattended.

Time is not the essence of the contract unless expressly stated otherwise in writing by a Director of the Company.

Disposal of packaging materials is the responsibility of the customer.

If no one is available to accept the order on the scheduled delivery date the goods may be returned to our warehouse and we reserve the right to charge you an additional re-delivery charge.

If the customer changes the delivery address once the goods have been dispatched, we will endeavour to redirect your delivery, however we reserve the right to pass on any extra charges made by our carriers for redirecting your delivery and will you will be advised of any delay to your delivery.

Goods must be checked on delivery. Any goods found to be lost or damaged should be reported to the delivery driver at time of delivery or Duku EV within two working days from the delivery day. Duku EV reserve the right to refuse replacements on any damaged items reported to us outside of two working days.

Deliveries are made to a ground floor entrance only. The customer must ensure that there is reasonable access for the safe and prompt delivery of the goods. The customer should advise Duku EV of any difficulties in accessing the delivery location by contacting info@duku-ev.com.

For reasons beyond our control we may be prevented from delivering your goods as planned. These might include things such as accidents, breakdowns, fire, flood, storm, severe weather, acts of God, war, riot, civil commotion, malicious damage or the default of our suppliers. We are not responsible where this causes a delay or failure in delivering your goods.

Duku EV are not liable for installer fees or any other professional tradesperson fees due to late, damaged or lost deliveries.

Duke EV are not liable for any loss of earnings due to late, incorrect or lost deliveries.

 

10. AMENDMENTS

Customers can amend their order within 7 days of ordering and before dispatch free of charge. Duku EV will try and accommodate, but cannot guarantee amendment requests. Orders cannot be amended after they have been despatched. An amendment to your order may impact the delivery lead time. Customers will be advised of any delay to delivery as a result of an amendment to an order.

11.CONSUMER CANCELLATION RIGHTS

Customers may cancel an order at any time before despatch of goods. Cancellation of an order before despatch of goods will not incur a cancellation fee. If an order is cancelled, you will receive a full refund of the purchase price paid for the product.

To cancel a contract or request a refund you must inform Duku EV in writing by contacting info@duku-ev.com with the subject title ‘cancellation’ and the following information:

Reason for Cancellation (Your reason for cancellation will help us to improve the service we offer to customers in the future).

12.RETURNS POLICY

Duku EV offer a 14 day returns policy after the day of delivery. To request a return, please contact us on info@duku-ev.com within 14 days after receiving delivered goods in their entirety.

Customers should title emails with the subject ‘returns’ and include the following information:

Full Name
Order Reference
Address
Reason for Return (Your reason for return will help us to improve the service we offer to customers in the future).

Goods must be returned within 14 days of a returns requested being accepted.

Goods must be returned in their original packaging and customers must ensure that the goods are returned in their original condition and packaged to protect against damage. The cost of return must be covered and organised by the customer.

Customers should include their name and address within the packaging and return the product to Duku EV by courier, recorded delivery, or via a suitable carrier to the following address:

Customers will be responsible for the cost and risk of returning the product(s) to Duku EV and are advised to ensure suitable postal/carriage insurance is in place to cover the value of the contents. Duku EV accept no liability for any loss or damage of Product(s) occurred in transit to us. Customers are advised to save their proof of posting/despatch and tracking information until their refund has been processed.

Duku EV reserve the right not to replace any item that has been installed as this is deemed as acceptance of the goods.

This refund policy does not affect your legal rights – for example, if goods are faulty.

13.RETURNS POLICY

Duku EV will refund the purchase price paid for the product by the customer including the original shipping cost within 30 days.

14.FAULTY GOODS / GUARANTEE

Please refer to our warranty terms: duku-ev.com/warranty.

Our warranty terms only cover manufactured parts and do not cover any parts related to the installation of a Duku EV product.

15.INSTALLATION

Duku EV supply products to customers excluding an installation service, meaning that customers are responsible for organising the installation of the product and ensuring suitability of the installation site.

If required, Duku EV can recommend installers for customers who will be able to advise on suitability of installation, offer site surveys and provide a quotation for installation services.

Duku EV do not accept:

  • Any liability for any loss, costs or consequential damage due to the aborted installation of a home charge point where it is not safe or practical to install.

  • Any liability for any loss, costs or consequential damage due to incorrect installation procedures that do not follow the product installation guidelines provided with the product.

  • Any liability for any damage caused to your property prior, during or after the installation of a Duku EV product.

  • Any liability for any damages caused to appliances, devices, or electrical circuits within your property that is not directly linked to the installation of a Duku EV product.

  • Any liability for damages to your property resulting from changes to your installation by a non-qualified electrician or by a person that is not employed, directly or indirectly, by Duku EV.

If there is an issue with your product, you should contact the qualified person who has installed your Duku EV product first.

16.LIABILITY

Products sold on this website have been designed to comply with all relevant UK legislation. Duku EV do not warrant or represent that they comply with any legal requirement outside the UK.

Duku EV do not accept any liability for any loss, costs or damage consequential to the use and/or misuse of our hardware products.

The liability of Duku EV under this Agreement shall be limited to the amount of the invoice related to your purchase.

17.INTERNET OF THINGS (IOT) & WIFI

Duku EV product and Duku EV app functionality are reliant on good connectivity of the customers Wi-Fi network. The availability and strength of the customers Wi-Fi signal cannot be guaranteed by Duku EV and is the responsibility of the customer. Wi-Fi signal strength and availability should be checked prior to placing the order by the customer where the charge point will be installed.

Duku EV cannot be held responsible for Wi-Fi disconnection, network errors and router configurations that prevent or impact the correct operation of Duku EV products.

18.DUKU EV SOFTWARE AGREEMENT
