Using a home charger is a daily chore for most EV drivers. Cables are often wet, tangled, or heavy, and winding them up or down after work quickly becomes frustrating. If you’ve ever had your hands full of shopping, use walking aids, or simply want a clean, effortless experience, most home chargers fall short. Duku EV's premium ARC home charger eliminates that hassle with automatic cable retraction and plug-mounted controls, making charging truly one-handed and seamless.

No, you can extend the cable just as much as you need to charge your vehicle. Our ARC system manages the cable in a way that it never wraps over itself, so charging while the cable is not fully extended works without problems like heat or cable derating the power.

The charger is programmed with an automated retraction timeout and if the charger is disconnected from the vehicle for more than 30 seconds, the ARC system will automatically retract the cable within the charger. You can leave the plug on the ground once you're done with charging and Duku EV's premium domestic charger will automatically retract the cable in.

Temperature sensors monitor the internal temperature of the charger at all times. Charging power output can be decreased if the charging cable temperature is too high, and an internal (optional) fan can be activated to provide additional ventilation if required.

The charger has been designed using research findings from our Unlocking Accessiblility (https://www.duku-ev.com/uacc-accessible-evcharger)project which involved public trials with disabled users, in addition to receiving input from a large number of disability consultants and organisations throughout. The entire charging process can be operated with one hand meaning that it is very easy to use for those with a disability. The charger is designed to meet the British Standard Institute's latest guidelines on Accessible Electric Vehicle Charging: (PAS 1899).

The charger is OCPP ready and can be connected to the internet via LAN, WIFI or 4G. It can be configured to work with a range of different charge point management platforms to provide smart charging capabilities and app integration.
